March 3rd: New Videos For Catdomealumni.com!

March 3rd 2008 will be the kick off of the new video season for Catdomealumni.com. Every Monday from March till the end of August Catdomealumni.com will be posting up new videos for your enjoyment.

March and April will be bringing you most of the video highlights of all 9 games of the 2007 season.

May will be Linfield Legends month as I have already started pulling clips of two legendary Wildcat running backs, a playmaking Linebacker, and a defensive tackle that was a force of nature.

June we'll wrap up the 2007 highlight DVD with the Whitworth and L&C games and start getting into some new specials (2008 Spring Football, 2005 Whitewater vs Linfield revisted, 2008 football camp, Big Hits III, etc).

To jump the season off Catdomealumni.com will be posting up the team introduction clip that ran before kickoff at every home game this past season. It's a fun 2 minute clip that we hope we can top this next season.

Be sure to let your fellow Wildcat fan know to drop in next Monday to get your Linfield fix.

Alumni Game: Monday Oct. 1st!

The 3rd annual Linfield Alumni vs Junior Varsity alumni game has been set. The old men and the young ‘Cats will square off the Monday after the varsity smacks around the Willamette Bearcats. (Monday, October 1st at 7:15 pm)

The series up to this point is 2-1 in favor of the Alumni. The teams played twice during the 2005 season as they split the games that year. The Alumni won the first showdown 10-7 on a Scott Cannon game winning field goal and the JV’s surprised the alumni team in brutal conditions 20-17 in early November of ’05. However, the 2006 game was a different story as the Alumni team led by QB Ty Mathews (’03) and Linfield WR greats, Casey Allen (’05), Brandon Hazenberg (’05), Brad McKechnie (’05), and Sonte Wong (’00) cut up the young kids in racking up 35 points on the day.

The game is a little over 3 months out and this is where the leg work comes in. I still need to obtain e-mail addresses from the 2006 class and we need to find a QB. Ty turned in his retirement papers after last season’s victory and told me he is 100% done. Break out the running shoes, load up your iPods with some AC/DC and cut back on the beer. I’ll start sending out e-mails to the alumni mailing list next week but please shoot me an email if you’re interested in playing.

Start making your plans now!

ADvantage Catdome (beta)

This could be a good idea or a bad one....let's see how it goes.

Yeah, That's me on the right....with a jersey that is way too tight. Maybe it wasn't such a hot idea to wear number 11 in college because all of the #11 jersey's they have now are not for 30 year old has been's playing in alumni games. See the move where I'm pulling to jersey down for a "slimming effect"? Stay classy #11.

I've shied away from putting anything out there on the d3.com/catdomealumi.com sites that are about "me" but since the idea of this blog is to be more "intimate" I guess I should put myself out there just a tad bit more.

I've found out over the past few years that I'm a video geek and have found said hobby to fit one of my great loves in life (besides Mrs. 11)....Wildcat football. I started up Catdomealumni.com last spring as a host site to post up video clips that some great people have put together over the years. It may not be the slickest site (Christsakes it's a geocities site) but I think it get the job done. In kicking around some ideas this winter to help "enhance" the mothership and I thought that we are living in a blogging world and we should jump the shark with the rest of the media whores and wannabes.

The reason why we're doing this blog is to give various people that are Linfield backers a place to really sound off on their thoughts on our Linfield Wildcats, the NWC, small college football, and just life in general. Some of these contributors may say something’s that I don't like or you don't like but I hope we can bring up some topics without very much filtering.

I wear red and purple blinders and would Jack Bauer somebody if Coach Smith asked me to. I would be hard pressed to say anything bad about Linfield except for I think the weight room sucks to the 10th degree.

This is why I hope others posting on here will voice how they feel...for good and bad. We can just roll with it.

We're going to get this fired up in March to go hand-in-hand with the new videos rolling out on the mothership (catdomealumni.com).
